Job Title: Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)
Location: Alpharetta, GA
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to support cloud infrastructure build, deployment, and reliability initiatives on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, and GCP, and will work closely with application, infrastructure, and database teams to ensure scalable, reliable, and automated environments across non-production and production systems.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in planning sessions to understand requirements for build and deployment activities
Build, configure, and maintain Non-Prod and Prod environments on GCP
Provision infrastructure and clusters using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices with Terraform and Kubernetes
Configure and manage web servers, application servers, NGINX, databases, and required software components
Collaborate with Cassandra, Elasticsearch, and Oracle teams to support data migrations
Work closely with infrastructure teams to define and implement environment requirements, including:
Storage configuration
Log creation and management
Firewall rules and network port setup
Monitor system performance, availability, and health using tools such as Application Insights, Datadog, and AppDynamics
Review existing build and deployment strategies and enhance or implement improvements for upgraded environments and applications
Implement and enhance infrastructure automation within CI/CD pipelines
Ensure reliability, scalability, and operational excellence through proactive monitoring and automation
Demonstrate strong collaboration and communication across cross-functional teams
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong hands-on experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Active GCP certification (required)
Experience building and managing cloud infrastructure using IaC
Solid understanding of cloud networking, security, and environment configuration
Experience supporting production and non-production environments
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration abilities
