Title: AWS Cloud Engineer

Location: Las Vegas – ( Local candidates Only )

 

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AWS core services, advanced networking, container orchestration, observability, and infrastructure automation, along with a strong security mindset and the ability to operate in fast-paced Agile environments.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure using best practices for scalability, security, and reliability.
• Work extensively with core AWS services including VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, Route 53, AWS Backup, EKS, SSO, MSK, and AWS security services.
• Implement and manage hybrid connectivity using AWS Transit Gateway (TGW) and Direct Connect, including setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Build and maintain observability and monitoring solutions using Amazon CloudWatch, Grafana, OpenTelemetry (OTEL), including proactive alerting and telemetry.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for repeatable and scalable deployments.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployments using GitLab CI/CD pipelines and Shell scripting.
• Manage Kubernetes (EKS) clusters and implement Istio service mesh for traffic management, security, and observability.
• Ensure cloud infrastructure complies with security, compliance, and governance standards using tools such as Security Hub and GuardDuty.
• Perform patching, vulnerability remediation, and security hardening across cloud-native and containerized workloads.
• Develop automation and tooling using Python and/or Bash.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application issues across cloud and container platforms.
• Collaborate closely with DevOps, Security, Application, and Architecture teams in Agile/Scrum environments.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 6–8 years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering, with strong focus on AWS.
• In-depth experience with AWS services: VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, Route 53, AWS Backup, EKS, SSO, MSK.
• Strong expertise in AWS networking, including Transit Gateway (TGW) and Direct Connect.
• Hands-on experience with CloudWatch, Grafana, Open Telemetry (OTEL) for monitoring and observability.
• Proficiency in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD and end-to-end automation workflows.
• Solid understanding of Kubernetes (EKS) and Istio service mesh.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security, vulnerability management, and patching best practices.
• Programming/scripting experience using Python and/or Bash.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
