Location: Las Vegas, NV

 

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect with a strong background in microservices, cloud-native architecture, and Agile delivery. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining the technology vision, designing scalable solutions, and leading development teams from concept through implementation. This role acts as a key bridge between business stakeholders and IT, ensuring that technical solutions align with business goals.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·        Define and drive the technology vision, architecture strategy, and roadmap for assigned solutions or business domains.

·        Perform end-to-end solution architecture including analysis, design, planning, and implementation.

·        Create solution architecture and high-level design (HLD) documents, including system diagrams and integration patterns.

·        Decompose complex solutions into domains and microservices, defining clear boundaries and responsibilities.

·        Design and govern REST-based microservice APIs ensuring scalability, security, and performance.

·        Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) between IT and business stakeholders for solution delivery.

·        Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and other Architects to shape product roadmaps and align delivery priorities.

·        Translate business requirements into technical epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria for development teams.

·        Lead and guide development teams during implementation, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices.

·        Conduct Proof of Concepts (POCs) to evaluate emerging technologies and architectural approaches.

·        Present complex technical designs and proposals to both technical and non-technical audiences.

·        Work across multiple initiatives, ensuring architectural consistency and promoting reuse and inner sourcing.

·        Identify and evaluate industry trends and emerging technologies, driving adoption where appropriate.

·        Promote Agile and Lean best practices, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery.

·        Actively promote and demonstrate company values of excellence, ownership, collaboration, and integrity.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 8+ years of overall IT experience with 6–8 years in Solution Architecture roles.
• Proven experience in solution architecture and high-level design, including domain-driven design and system decomposition.
• Strong hands-on experience with microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
• Demonstrated success delivering solutions using Agile / Lean methodologies.
• Strong proficiency in Java and frameworks such as Spring and Spring Boot.
• Extensive experience with AWS services and cloud-native architecture patterns.
• Good working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and RedHat OpenShift.
• Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases including SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, and MongoDB.
• Expert understanding of software design principles and common architecture patterns.
• Good understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools.
