Job Title: Enterprise Architect – AI (AI Architect)
Location: 100% Onsite – McLean, VA
Experience Required: 10+ Years
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Enterprise Architect – AI to define, design, and govern enterprise-wide AI architecture initiatives. This role will be responsible for creating the overarching AI solution architecture, setting strategic direction for AI programs, and establishing enterprise AI standards. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in large language models (LLMs), vector databases, cloud-native AI solutions, and Responsible AI practices, along with strong hands-on engineering and architectural leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
AI Architecture & Strategy
Define and own the enterprise AI solution architecture and long-term AI vision.
Establish AI standards, guidelines, and best practices across the enterprise.
Lead architecture decisions for AI platforms, frameworks, and tooling.
Drive Responsible AI strategy and execution, including governance, ethics, security, and compliance.
Provide architectural oversight and guidance across multiple AI initiatives and teams.
AI Engineering & Solution Delivery
Lead the end-to-end development lifecycle of AI solutions, including requirements definition, design, development, deployment, and integration.
Architect and develop AI solutions leveraging large language models (LLMs), vector databases, and agent-based systems.
Design and implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), prompt engineering strategies, and multi-agent architectures.
Build and deploy cloud-native AI applications across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud platforms.
Guide teams on prompt engineering techniques (zero-shot, one-shot, few-shot, chain-of-thought).
Required Skills & Qualifications
10+ years of overall IT experience with strong enterprise architecture background.
Proven experience as an AI Architect / Enterprise Architect leading large-scale AI initiatives.
Deep expertise in large language models (LLMs) and modern AI frameworks.
Strong experience with vector databases and AI data architectures.
Hands-on experience with cloud AI services across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
Advanced proficiency in Python; experience with C is a plus.
Strong understanding of deep learning concepts, including:
Autoencoders and optimization techniques
Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs)
Natural Language Processing (NLP)
Expertise in prompt engineering, RAG, agent-based approaches, MCP, and A2A automation.
