Job Title: Senior Full-Stack / Backend Engineer (Java + Spring Boot + React Niche)
Location: Las Vegas, NV – Onsite (Vegas candidates only, No Relocation allowed)
Duration: 12+ Months
Experience Required: 6–8+ Years (Senior hands-on development role)
Core Competencies & Must-Have Skills
Backend & API Development
Java 1.8+ (Core Java)
Spring Boot & Microservices Architecture
Experience building RESTful services, APIs, and backend business services
Strong understanding of Object-Oriented (OOP) and Procedural coding patterns
Experience with SQL, NoSQL, messaging, and data-driven applications
Front-End Development
Hands-on experience with React (or equivalent JavaScript structural framework)
Responsive UI development using HTML5 & CSS3
Knowledge of responsive web design principles for high-traffic, public-facing websites
DevOps & Engineering Best Practices
Docker, container-based development and deployment (Kubernetes exposure is a plus)
Version control and enterprise DevOps workflows using Git & GitHub
Experience managing and maintaining large codebases in Git
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
Habit of writing efficient, unit-test-covered, defect-free code
Experience writing high-quality unit tests (JUnit or similar frameworks)
Roles & Responsibilities
Design, build, and deploy scalable microservices using Java 1.8+ and Spring Boot
Develop high-performing, reliable, and production-ready REST APIs
Build new backend services that are defect-free and optimized for performance
Analyze existing systems, identify bottlenecks, and implement code improvements
Drive issue resolution, debugging, and production incident fixes efficiently
Design and build automation jobs using code, SQL, and scripting (Bash/Shell/Python where needed)
Work closely with frontend and backend developers to deliver end-to-end integrated systems
Maintain clean, structured, and test-covered code with high unit test coverage
Participate in code reviews, architecture alignment, and release planning
Manage and maintain code repositories using Git & GitHub Enterprise workflows
Collaborate proactively with cross-functional engineering teams to achieve project success
Nice to Have / Preferred
Experience working on high-traffic consumer or retail web platforms
Exposure to Kubernetes, IoT, or cloud-connected services
Monitoring/logging exposure (Splunk, Prometheus, etc.)
Soft Skills
Proactive, independent, and solution-driven
Strong communicator with engineering + product teams
Ability to debug fast and deliver efficiently
Team-first mindset with ownership mentality
