Role Overview
We are looking for an Application Architect with deep hands-on expertise in Java, SQL, and AWS, to ensure the quality, integrity, scalability, and reliability of the enterprise application portfolio.
This role operates within a Business Solution Area, supporting a product domain or business function inside a Business Solution Area, product domain, Business Solution Area, product domain, Business Solution Area, product domain, Business Solution Area.
Must-Have Technical & Functional Skills
Backend & Architecture
Core & Advanced Java (Java 1.8+)
Strong experience with Spring Framework and related modules
Microservices and API architecture expertise
Hands-on AWS environment experience (practical, not theoretical)
Database & Query Optimization
Advanced SQL & PL/SQL
Ability to write, optimize, profile, and tune complex queries
Data modeling, profiling, and transactional integrity awareness
Front-End Architecture
Hands-on experience with Angular 13+ (Angular 13+)
UI component governance, modular design, and responsive web mechanics
Testing & Code Governance
Mocking frameworks: Mockito, JMock, or equivalent
Strong unit test discipline and code integrity ownership
Experience with code reviews, merge governance, and quality validation
Nice to Have / Preferred
Exposure to Guidewire products (PolicyCenter/PC domain)
Prior Insurance/BFSI data and application modernization experience
Key Responsibilities
Ensure technical quality and integrity across the application portfolio
Support, sustain, and modernize a critical product domain or business function
Provide architecture guidance for cloud-native microservices and database workloads
Drive root-cause analysis, debugging, and incident resolution
Perform design governance, code reviews, and quality sign-offs
Collaborate closely with Product Owners, QA, Dev, Infra, and cross-functional teams
Document architecture decisions, system behaviors, and technical scorecards
Stay proactive, independent, and solution-driven
