Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Linux Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize enterprise Linux environments. The role involves hands-on system administration, troubleshooting complex services, performance tuning, automation, and ensuring secure, compliant infrastructure. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with cloud, storage, and infrastructure teams to support hybrid deployments and mission-critical workloads.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, manage, and troubleshoot Linux operating systems in enterprise environments.
• Administer and support critical Linux services including DNS, NIS, LDAP, Altair Accelerator, and IBM LSF.
• Perform kernel-level debugging, patching, upgrades, and system performance tuning.
• Monitor system health, capacity, and availability to ensure optimal performance.
• Automate routine system administration tasks using Ansible, Python, and shell scripting.
• Implement and maintain secure system configurations aligned with CISSP security best practices and organizational policies.
• Collaborate with cloud, storage, and infrastructure teams to support hybrid and multi-platform deployments.
• Manage user access, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
• Maintain accurate system documentation, operational procedures, and configuration standards.
• Track and maintain version control of installed software, patches, and configurations.
• Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and problem resolution.
• Support system audits, compliance reviews, and security assessments.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong hands-on experience as a Linux System Administrator.
• Proven expertise in managing Linux services such as DNS, NIS, LDAP, Altair Accelerator, and IBM LSF.
• Experience with kernel-level troubleshooting, patch management, and performance tuning.
• Strong scripting and automation skills using Ansible, Python, and Bash/Shell scripting.
• Solid understanding of Linux security hardening and compliance best practices.
• Experience working in hybrid infrastructure environments (on-prem and cloud).
• Knowledge of CISSP-aligned security practices, system hardening, and access controls.
• Experience supporting secure and regulated environments.
