Job Title: Senior Full-Stack Data & API Developer (MongoDB + Node.js + Python + Java)

Location: Hartford, CT – Onsite (Local Candidates Preferred)
Duration: 12+ Months
Experience Required: 6–8+ Years

Core Competencies & Technical Skills

Database – MongoDB

·         Schema design & document data modeling

·         Indexing strategy, aggregation pipelines, and ACID transactions

·         Query optimization, profiling, and performance tuning

·         Replication, high availability, backups, and restore operations

·         Sharding, data distribution, and scalability design

·         Experience with MongoDB Atlas and Atlas basics

·         Ops tools exposure: Ops Manager and monitoring basics

·         Atlas, Ops Manager, Atlas, Ops Manager, Atlas, Ops Manager

Backend & API Development

·         Node.js – API/service development with MongoDB integration

·         Python – data processing, API support, automation, and profiling

·         Java 1.8+ / Core Java – backend logic and service integration

·         Experience building RESTful APIs and micro-services

·         API stability, performance, and scalability governance

Dev & Optimization

·         Query analysis, optimization, and profiling

·         Build and maintain APIs using MongoDB + Node.js services

·         Debugging, performance tuning, and code profiling

·         Data job optimization and distributed query tuning

Key Responsibilities

·         Design and implement efficient, scalable MongoDB schemas

·         Define indexing and aggregation strategies for high-performance queries

·         Manage replication, sharding, backup, and restore processes

·         Optimize and profile queries for minimal latency and high throughput

·         Build robust backend APIs using Node.js, Python, or Java

·         Integrate database services into event-driven or API-driven architectures

·         Ensure APIs are scalable, secure, and performance-optimized

·         Own debugging, profiling, and root-cause analysis for database + service issues

·         Maintain system stability through optimization and profiling best practices

·         MongoDB Ops Manager administration exposure

·         Monitoring/logging familiarity (Kibana/Splunk/Prometheus is a plus)

·         Experience with large-scale distributed API systems
