Job Title: Senior Azure + GenAI Architect
Location: Los Angeles, CA or New York City, NY
Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Azure + Generative AI Architect with deep hands-on engineering experience to design, build, and deploy enterprise-grade GenAI solutions on Microsoft Azure. This role requires a senior-level practitioner who can architect, code, deploy, and operate AI-driven systems at scale—covering APIs, backend services, cloud-native engineering, and DevOps automation.
Key Responsibilities
Generative AI & AI Platform Engineering
Design and implement GenAI solutions using Azure OpenAI (GPT models), Azure AI Search, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) patterns.
Build conversational agents, agent-based workflows, retrieval systems, and grounding pipelines.
Integrate AI models with enterprise data sources securely and efficiently.
Implement evaluation frameworks, telemetry, monitoring, and observability for GenAI workloads.
Backend & API Development
Design and develop secure, scalable APIs and backend services using Python and/or .NET Core.
Build and maintain cloud-native microservices architectures on Azure.
Integrate AI services with enterprise systems via RESTful APIs and event-driven patterns.
Cloud & DevOps Engineering
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, including automated testing and release workflows.
Ensure production readiness through automation, monitoring, security, and operational best practices.
Optimize performance, scalability, reliability, and cost of GenAI and backend services.
Architecture & Collaboration
Translate business and technical requirements into secure, scalable architecture designs.
Collaborate with engineering, cloud, data, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Contribute hands-on to coding, testing, deployment, optimization, and operational support.
Drive architectural best practices and ensure solutions meet enterprise standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Senior-level, hands-on experience delivering AI and cloud solutions at enterprise scale.
Strong hands-on experience with:
Azure OpenAI
Azure AI Search
Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
Python
Cloud-native engineering on Azure
Proven experience developing secure APIs and backend services.
Deep engineering expertise in Python and .NET Core (Node.js is a plus).
Strong DevOps proficiency with Azure DevOps pipelines, CI/CD, and release automation.
Experience implementing monitoring, telemetry, and observability for production AI systems.
Ability to design scalable, secure, and maintainable architectures.
