Job Title: SAP Plant Maintenance (EAM) Consultant
Location: Maumee, OH (Onsite)
Job Type: Contract
Experience Required: 6–10+ Years in SAP PM with S/4HANA expertise
Job Description:
This senior role leads the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP Plant Maintenance (PM/EAM) solutions in an S/4HANA + Fiori environment, ensuring seamless integration across enterprise modules to drive digital transformation, asset modernization, and operational efficiency.
Must-Have Functional & Technical Expertise
SAP Plant Maintenance (PM/EAM) – S/4HANA
- Functional Locations, Equipment Master, Bills of Material (BOM)
- Work Centers, Task Lists, Maintenance Notifications, Work Orders
- Maintenance Plans, Preventive/Corrective/Breakdown Maintenance
- Measuring Points, Counters, Status & Priority Management
- Strong command of S/4HANA PM Apps & Fiori-based user experience
- Experience configuring Fiori PM/EAM applications and role-based UX flows
Enterprise Integration
- Deep integration experience with:
- FICO (Finance)
- MM (Materials Management)
- PP (Production Planning)
- QM (Quality Management)
- 3rd-party EAM/IoT or legacy maintenance systems
- Ability to design stable, scalable, cross-module maintenance processes
Data Migration & Tools
- Migration ownership using SAP Migration Cockpit / Migrate Your Data
- Legacy-to-S/4 conversion experience (Greenfield/Brownfield)
- Master data migration for:
- Equipment, Functional Locations, Task Lists, Maintenance Plans, Counters
- Experience using tools like SAP Migration Cockpit, SAP Migration cockpit
- Strong governance of data validation, reconciliation, and load readiness
Solution Design & RICEFW
- Create functional specifications, process flows, and solution blueprints
- Design solutions using RICEFW objects when standard config needs enhancement
- Prepare configuration workbooks, mapping sheets, and architecture docs
- Conduct design reviews to ensure enterprise architectural alignment
Testing, UAT & Training
- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Build test scripts, scenario coverage, and defect management plans
- Create end-user documentation and conduct training workshops
- Drive operational readiness, cutover planning, fallback strategy, and deployment sign-off
Key Responsibilities
- Lead requirement workshops and convert legacy as-is → to-be PM/EAM processes
- Configure end-to-end SAP PM/EAM solutions on S/4HANA
- Own integration design across Finance, Supply Chain, Production, and 3rd-party systems
- Drive master data migration strategy, execution, validation, and reconciliation
- Define enterprise PM/EAM architecture standards and best practices
- Support agile project delivery, backlog planning, release governance, and UAT
- Provide proactive leadership, technical guidance, and cross-team collaboration
- Ensure solutions meet performance, compliance, and business success KPIs
Required Qualifications
- 6–10+ yrs of hands-on SAP Plant Maintenance / EAM
- 2+ S/4HANA end-to-end implementations
- Greenfield or Brownfield migration
- Fiori-based PM/EAM rollout
- Strong understanding of asset management best practices
- Ability to translate business needs into scalable technical designs
- Excellent stakeholder communication and enterprise architecture presence
Nice to Have / Preferred
- IoT or sensor-based asset integration exposure
- CI/CD or Solution Transport Automation knowledge
- Retail, Manufacturing, or BFSI EAM transformation experience
- Performance and monitoring governance experience
