Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Node.js Technical Lead / Architect with strong expertise in AWS serverless architecture. The ideal candidate will lead the design, development, and optimization of cloud-native, microservices-based applications using AWS Lambda and related AWS services.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Development
- Design, develop, and maintain Node.js-based serverless applications using AWS Lambda
- Architect and implement RESTful APIs and event-driven solutions
- Build scalable, highly available microservices architectures
- Ensure performance, reliability, and security best practices across services
AWS & Serverless Expertise
- Work extensively with AWS services, including:
- API Gateway
- Lambda
- DynamoDB
- SQS, SNS
- EventBridge
- Kinesis (nice to have)
- Step Functions (nice to have)
- Optimize Lambda performance:
- Reduce cold starts
- Manage concurrency
- Implement cost-optimization strategies
Technical Leadership
- Act as technical lead, providing guidance to development teams
- Review code and ensure adherence to architectural standards
- Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and product teams
- Drive best practices in cloud-native and serverless development
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in Node.js / JavaScript
- Strong expertise in AWS Lambda and serverless architecture
- Deep understanding of asynchronous programming (Promises, async/await)
- Experience designing and building RESTful APIs
- Strong experience with API Gateway
- Hands-on experience with microservices architecture
- Experience with NoSQL and SQL databases (DynamoDB, MongoDB, PostgreSQL)
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- TypeScript experience
- Docker and containerized workloads
- Exposure to Kinesis and Step Functions
- Experience with serverless frameworks
- Understanding of cost optimization in serverless environments
