Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced SAP S/4HANA Sales & Distribution (SD) Consultant with strong functional expertise in Order-to-Cash (OTC) processes.
The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of S/4HANA capabilities, Fiori apps, advanced SD configuration, and end-to-end implementation experience.
This consultant will be responsible for delivering scalable SD solutions, resolving complex issues, supporting integrations, and enabling smooth business operations across multiple functional areas.
Key Responsibilities:
Implementation & Configuration
Execute full lifecycle S/4HANA SD implementations including requirement gathering, design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
Configure and support key SD processes:
Sales Order Management (Standard, Third-party, MTO, MTS)
Delivery & Shipment Processing
Advanced Returns Management
Billing (Milestone, Project-based, Revenue Recognition)
Shipment Cost Management & Carrier Payments
Manage pricing procedures, condition techniques, and output management.
Utilize Fiori applications for SD operations, analytics, and workflows.
Testing, Migration & Support
Lead SIT/UAT cycles, prepare documentation, and support end-user training.
Perform root cause analysis of production issues and implement durable solutions.
Execute data migration using LTMC / LTMOM, including master and transactional data.
Provide post–go-live support and drive continuous improvements in SD processes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with FI, MM, PP, PS, and Settlement Management teams to ensure seamless integration.
Analyze complex OTC scenarios and design scalable, integrated solutions.
Nice to Have
Hands-on experience in Settlement Management (Commissions, Royalties, Rebates).
Experience with S/4HANA Greenfield implementations in manufacturing environments.
Requirements:
10+ years of SAP SD implementation/rollout experience.
Minimum 1 full-cycle S/4HANA SD implementation.
Strong SD configuration expertise with S/4HANA advanced features.
Proven experience troubleshooting complex functional & integration issues.
Strong documentation, communication, and client-facing skills.
Experience with ASAP and Agile methodologies.
Client/Account Context:
The client is a major North American manufacturing industry leader, currently executing a large-scale S/4HANA Greenfield implementation across multiple plants using a phased go-live approach.
This role involves working closely with the client's Center of Excellence (COE) team.
Interview Notes / Expectations:
Duration: ~45 minutes
Conducted by Client COE team
Will include:
Process-oriented questions
Deep technical/functional SD evaluation
Discussion of complex/challenging projects delivered
Candidates should be prepared to ask logical, professional questions at the end of the interview.
