Job Title: ServiceNow Vulnerability Response Consultant
Location: Onsite – New Jersey (NJ) / Tampa, FL / Tempe, AZ
Duration: 12+ Months
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Vulnerability Response (VR) Consultant to design, configure, and enhance the ServiceNow VR module. The candidate will play a key role in integrating vulnerability data from external scanners, automating remediation workflows, and delivering dashboards and analytics to support enterprise vulnerability management initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
ServiceNow Vulnerability Response
Configure and customize the ServiceNow Vulnerability Response (VR) module
Manage the full vulnerability lifecycle including identification, prioritization, remediation, exception handling, and reporting
Design and implement workflows, business rules, client scripts, and Flow Designer automations
Integrations & Automation
Integrate VR with external vulnerability scanners such as:
Qualys
Tenable
Rapid7
Prisma Cloud
Integrate VR with ServiceNow CMDB to automate vulnerability correlation
Configure MID Servers, data sources, and API connections for vulnerability ingestion
Develop automation for:
Vulnerability assignment
Remediation tracking
SLA and exception management
Reporting & Analytics
Build custom dashboards and reports
Create Performance Analytics indicators to track vulnerability KPIs and trends
Support leadership reporting and operational insights
Platform & Process Alignment
Leverage strong understanding of ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, and ITSM processes
Ensure alignment with enterprise security and IT operations standards
Participate in design reviews and best-practice governance
Required Skills & Qualifications
5–9 years of hands-on experience with the ServiceNow platform
2+ years of direct experience implementing ServiceNow Vulnerability Response (VR)
Strong experience with:
ServiceNow VR
CMDB & Discovery
ITSM processes
Hands-on knowledge of:
JavaScript
Glide API
Flow Designer
REST / SOAP integrations
Experience integrating vulnerability scanners (Qualys, Tenable, Rapid7, Prisma Cloud)
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) – required
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
Performance Analytics experience
Exposure to large-scale enterprise security programs
Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills
