Role Overview
We are seeking a Manhattan WMS Techno-Functional Consultant with strong warehouse management and supply chain expertise. The candidate will play a key role in end-to-end WMS implementations, upgrades, integrations, and optimization, working closely with business stakeholders, warehouse teams, and IT.
This role requires a blend of technical configuration skills and functional business process knowledge to ensure scalable, compliant, and efficient warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
Techno-Functional Expertise
- Configure Manhattan WMS modules (Active, SCALE, or WMOS)
- Write and review technical specifications for customizations, integrations, and reports
- Collaborate with developers on APIs, middleware, and EDI integrations
- Support WMS configuration tuning, upgrades, patches, and customizations
Business Process Alignment
- Translate business and finance requirements into WMS / ERP solutions
- Ensure warehouse workflows align with SOX and local compliance standards
- Advise on system configuration, workflow design, and enterprise integrations
Solution Design & Implementation
- Lead end-to-end Manhattan WMS implementations and upgrades
- Translate warehouse operational needs into system configurations
- Design and optimize workflows for:
- Inbound
- Outbound
- Inventory management
- Labor management
Stakeholder Enablement & Support
- Act as the go-to expert for WMS troubleshooting and optimization
- Work closely with warehouse managers, supply chain leaders, and IT teams
- Conduct workshops, requirement gathering, and gap analysis
- Provide training and change management support for end users and IT teams
- Prepare and maintain strong documentation and process mapping
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in Warehouse Management Systems
- Strong experience as a Manhattan WMS Techno-Functional Consultant
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations (receiving, picking, shipping)
- Hands-on experience with:
- Manhattan WMS configuration and tuning
- SQL / PL-SQL / Java / scripting
- Experience with API, EDI, and integration frameworks
- Strong understanding of supply chain KPIs and process optimization
- Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
