Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Big Data Engineer with strong expertise in SQL and distributed data processing technologies to design, build, and optimize scalable big data platforms. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, reliable, and high-performance data solutions that support analytics and business decision-making.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect, design, and implement scalable big data solutions using Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and Scala
• Develop, optimize, and maintain data pipelines and workflows for large-scale data ingestion and processing
• Perform SQL-based data querying, transformation, and performance optimization
• Manage and fine-tune distributed computing frameworks to ensure reliability, scalability, and efficiency
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to gather and translate data requirements into technical solutions
• Implement and enforce data security, governance, and compliance standards within big data environments
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in big data systems to maintain operational stability and performance

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong hands-on experience with Big Data technologies including:
• Hadoop
• Hive
• Spark
• Advanced proficiency in SQL for complex querying, data transformation, and optimization
• Hands-on experience with Scala for big data development
• Proven experience building and supporting large-scale data pipelines
• Solid understanding of distributed systems architecture and performance tuning
• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
