Job Title: SWAT Leader – Technologist
Location: Canton, MA
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced SWAT Leader – Technologist to lead cross-functional teams in resolving high-severity (Sev-1 and Sev-2) incidents across applications, infrastructure, middleware, databases, and integrations. This role requires a strong technologist with an end-to-end view of enterprise ecosystems who can drive rapid incident resolution, perform deep root cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes to improve system stability and business continuity.
The ideal candidate will play a critical role in Incident, Problem, and Change Management, while contributing to IT strategy through automation, self-healing solutions, and AI/Gen-AI-driven knowledge fabric creation.
Key Responsibilities
Incident Leadership & Response
Technically lead and drive cross-functional teams during Sev-1 and Sev-2 incidents to restore services quickly.
Act as the central point of coordination across application, infrastructure, integration, middleware, and database teams.
Make critical technical decisions under pressure to minimize business impact.
Technical Coordination
Guide support and engineering teams in selecting optimal troubleshooting paths.
Ensure clear communication and alignment between technical and non-technical stakeholders during incidents.
Root Cause Analysis & Problem Management
Perform detailed root cause analysis to identify underlying issues.
Own recurring issues end-to-end and drive permanent remediation.
Transition incidents effectively into Problem Management with actionable outcomes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in the healthcare payer domain.
Strong hands-on experience with at least one core programming language.
Solid understanding of:
Application architectures
Middleware and integrations
Databases
EDI and enterprise integrations
Proven experience working in high-availability, mission-critical environments.
Strong knowledge of ITSM processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management); ITIL certification or experience is highly desirable.
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills across complex, distributed systems.
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate diverse technical teams during high-pressure situations.
Ability to manage multiple incidents and priorities simultaneously.
