Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Big Data Engineer / Hadoop Developer with deep expertise in the Hadoop ecosystem, Apache Spark, Scala, and Hive. The ideal candidate will architect and develop scalable big data solutions, optimize distributed data processing pipelines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance analytics platforms.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and design scalable big data solutions using Hadoop (HDFS, MapReduce), Apache Spark, Scala, and Hive.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain data pipelines and workflows for processing and analyzing large-scale datasets.
• Manage, tune, and optimize distributed computing frameworks to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Design and implement Hive-based data warehousing solutions for efficient querying and reporting.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Implement and enforce data security, governance, and compliance standards within big data environments.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex technical issues in big data systems to maintain operational efficiency.
• Contribute to system design, code reviews, and best practices for big data application development.

 

Essential Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of the Hadoop ecosystem, including HDFS, MapReduce, Spark, Scala, and Hive.
• Strong hands-on experience with Apache Spark for batch and real-time data processing.
• Advanced proficiency in Scala for big data application development.
• Expertise in Hive for data warehousing and querying large datasets.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data integration techniques.
• Experience with cloud-based big data platforms and tools, such as Google BigQuery.
• Strong SQL skills for data analysis and transformation.
• Working knowledge of Java and Spring Boot.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
