Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support, manage, and secure enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus devices, FortiGate firewalls, and core networking concepts, along with a proactive approach to network monitoring, automation, and security.

Key Responsibilities

Network Operations & Maintenance

·         Maintain and support network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, servers, and multi-user applications.

·         Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve connectivity, hardware, and software issues.

·         Use network monitoring tools to track, analyze, and optimize network health and availability.

Network Security

·         Implement and manage security controls including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, antivirus, and security protocols.

·         Ensure protection against unauthorized access and security threats.

·         Support and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions for network infrastructure.

---

Configuration & Automation

·         Configure and manage routers, switches, and firewalls.

·         Apply scripting using PowerShell or Python to automate routine network tasks and improve efficiency.

·         Ensure network configurations comply with organizational standards and best practices.

---

Documentation & Support

·         Create and maintain detailed network documentation, including configurations, policies, and procedures.

·         Provide technical support to end users and resolve escalated network issues.

·         Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet business and operational objectives.

---

Must-Have Skills

·         Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus devices and FortiGate firewalls.

·         Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, and switching.

·         Experience configuring and managing routers, switches, and firewalls.

·         Knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, antivirus, and network security protocols.

·         Scripting experience using PowerShell or Python.

·         Experience implementing and managing backup and disaster recovery plans.

Good-to-Have Skills

·         Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·         Ability to work with internal and external clients and handle escalations effectively.
