Role: SQA Lead – Payments Domain

Location: : North Quincy, MA (Hybrid – 4 days onsite)

Description:  

We are seeking an experienced Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Lead with deep domain expertise in Payments to lead end-to-end application testing across large, complex programs. The ideal candidate will work closely with Business SMEs, Product Owners, and Application Vendor teams to ensure high-quality delivery across projects, upgrades, and enhancements in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

Test Strategy & Planning

• Collaborate with Business SMEs and Vendor teams to understand business requirements
• Define and own the Test Strategy, ensuring adequate coverage for critical business functions
• Develop Test Plans with milestones covering:
• • Functional Testing
  • Regression Testing
  • Integration Testing
  • End-to-End (E2E) Testing
• Align testing milestones with program roadmaps and industry timelines

Agile Execution & Test Management

• Work closely with Product Owners and stakeholders during sprint planning and execution
• Oversee test execution, track progress, and ensure timely delivery
• Manage and prioritize defects with development teams and vendors
• Provide QA metrics, dashboards, and risk assessments to program leadership
• Proactively identify and escalate risks, issues, and quality challenges

Automation & Quality Governance

• Define and guide automation strategy for:
• • Functional testing
  • Regression testing
  • Integration testing
• Maintain a centralized repository of test artifacts throughout the test lifecycle
• Conduct internal reviews and participate in SDLC process audits
• Support release management and provide formal QA sign-off

Delivery & Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work effectively under tight deadlines and regulatory timelines
• Collaborate across multi-location, global teams
• Ensure the final solution meets end-user and business requirements

---

Domain Expertise (Mandatory)

• Strong experience in High-Value Payments across 2 or more markets, such as:
• • CHAPS
  • TARGET2
  • Lynx
  • RITS
  • CBPR+
  • CHATS
  • CHIPS
  • Fedwire
• Excellent knowledge of ISO 20022 messaging standards and guidelines
• Strong understanding of Payments Clearing & Settlement processes
• End-to-End knowledge of back-office payments landscape, including:
• • Core Banking
  • Accounting
  • Reconciliation
  • Sanctions Screening
  • Regulatory Reporting
  • Risk Management

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance / Test Management
• Proven experience leading Application Testing Lifecycle end-to-end
• Strong expertise in Payments domain testing
• Experience working on large-scale, multi-location programs
• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
