Job Description – Windchill Change Management Consultant (GenAI)
Duration: 6 Months (Contract)
Location: West Chester, PA
Role Overview
We are seeking a Windchill Change Management Consultant with strong hands-on experience in product change lifecycle management and exposure to GenAI-enabled automation and analytics. The role focuses on managing, tracking, approving, and implementing engineering and product changes using PTC Windchill, while ensuring compliance, audit readiness, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of product changes, ensuring proper assessment, approval, and implementation.
Create, modify, and maintain change objects including Change Requests (CR), Change Orders (CO), Bills of Materials (BOM), and associated design documentation.
Establish and maintain approval workflows to ensure changes are evaluated and authorized appropriately.
Oversee execution of approved changes, ensuring completion within defined timelines.
Track and report the status and progress of changes, identifying issues and risks proactively.
Maintain detailed change records, approvals, and impact assessments to support audits and regulatory compliance.
Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and compliance teams to ensure smooth change execution.
Assess the impact and risk of proposed changes on products and related systems, implementing mitigation strategies.
Identify and resolve issues arising during the change management process.
GenAI & Automation Responsibilities
Utilize GenAI capabilities with Windchill to analyze historical and real-time change data.
Apply GenAI for complex information retrieval, summarization, and insights generation.
Automate routine change management tasks to:
Reduce manual effort
Minimize errors during change requests and approvals
Improve efficiency and turnaround time
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong hands-on experience in Windchill Change Management.
Proven experience managing engineering change processes and product lifecycle changes.
Expertise in:
Change Requests, Change Orders, BOMs, and design data
Workflow configuration and approval processes
Experience working with GenAI in PLM or Windchill environments.
Strong understanding of compliance, audit, and regulatory requirements.
Ability to analyze change impacts, risks, and dependencies.
Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
