Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Workday Integration Developer to design, build, and support enterprise-grade integrations across the Workday HCM ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise with Workday Studio, Core Connectors, EIB, and Workday Web Services (SOAP/REST) and will play a key role in integration delivery, testing, release readiness, and operational support within a large HR transformation program.

Key Responsibilities

Integration Design & Development

·       Design, develop, and maintain integrations using:

o   Workday Studio

o   Core Connectors

o   Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB)

o   Workday Web Services (SOAP/REST)

·       Implement robust logging, error handling, retry mechanisms, and monitoring.

·       Translate business requirements into technical designs, including data mappings, transformations, and security domains, aligned with integration and data governance standards.

·       Build and optimize event-driven and scheduled integrations synchronizing:

o   Worker and organization data

o   Job and position data

o   Compensation and payroll touchpoints

Testing & Release Readiness

·       Own unit testing, SIT, regression, and UAT cycles for integration changes.

·       Prepare test data, traceability matrices, and sign-off artifacts.

·       Support release cutovers and post–go-live warranty activities.

·       Assess and validate the impact of Workday biannual releases and configuration changes on inbound and outbound interfaces.

·       Coordinate fixes and compatibility updates as needed.

Operations, Monitoring & Support

·       Monitor integration dashboards, queues, and failures.

·       Perform root cause analysis and timely remediation of integration issues.

·       Maintain runbooks, connection inventories, credential rotation schedules, and operational documentation in line with governance standards.

·       Partner with vendors and downstream system owners where applicable.

Cross-Platform HR Transformation Support

·       Collaborate with HR Technology and business teams to align integrations with employee lifecycle and HR service delivery roadmaps.

·       Coordinate with ServiceNow HRSD teams where workflows span both platforms.

·       Contribute to HR transformation initiatives by:

o   Identifying automation opportunities

o   Improving data quality

o   Enhancing employee experience across HR and Payroll processes

Required Skills & Qualifications

·       6+ years of hands-on experience delivering Workday integrations.

·       Strong expertise in Workday Studio, Core Connectors, EIB, and Web Services (SOAP/REST).

·       Proven experience integrating core HCM domains:

o   Worker & Organization

o   Job & Position

o   Compensation & Payroll integrations

·       Experience executing full testing lifecycles and supporting production integrations.

·       Strong understanding of Workday security domains, data mappings, and governance standards.

·       Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, including log analysis and preventive improvements.

·       Ability to work closely with HRIT stakeholders in a governed enterprise environment.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

·       Experience integrating Workday with ServiceNow HRSD.

·       Knowledge of calculated fields, RaaS/EIB, and event-driven models.

·       Exposure to iPaaS / middleware platforms such as MuleSoft or Boomi.

·       Experience integrating downstream systems in Payroll, Benefits, Identity, or ITSM.

·       Workday Integration or Studio certifications (preferred but not mandatory).
