Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Okta Architect with Azure expertise to design, implement, and manage enterprise identity and access management (IAM) solutions. The role focuses on Okta platform architecture, Azure integration, security, SSO, federation, lifecycle management, and zero-trust principles, ensuring secure and scalable identity services across cloud and hybrid environments.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and architect Okta-based IAM solutions integrated with Microsoft Azure and Azure AD (Entra ID).
• Define identity architecture standards, patterns, and best practices for cloud and hybrid environments.
• Lead the implementation of SSO, MFA, federation, and lifecycle management solutions.
• Configure and manage Okta Universal Directory, policies, and group rules.
• Implement SSO integrations using SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC).
• Design and manage MFA and adaptive authentication policies.
• Implement Okta Lifecycle Management (LCM) for user provisioning and de-provisioning.
• Integrate Okta with enterprise applications (SaaS, custom, on-prem).
• Integrate Okta with Azure AD (Entra ID) for authentication and authorization.
• Implement Azure IAM, RBAC, Conditional Access, and identity federation strategies.
• Secure access to Azure resources, applications, and APIs using Okta.
• Support Zero Trust security models across Azure and hybrid environments.
• Ensure IAM solutions comply with enterprise security, regulatory, and audit requirements.
• Implement least-privilege access, identity governance, and access reviews.
• Design secure authentication flows and protect against identity-based threats.
• Support compliance frameworks such as ISO, SOC2, NIST, GDPR (as applicable).
• Automate Okta and Azure IAM configurations using Terraform, APIs, and scripting.
• Integrate IAM workflows into CI/CD pipelines.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code for identity components.
• Troubleshoot complex authentication and authorization issues.
• Work closely with security, cloud, application, and DevOps teams.
• Provide architectural guidance and technical leadership.
• Create architecture diagrams, design documents, and operational runbooks.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong hands-on experience as an Okta Architect or IAM Architect.
• Expertise in Okta services: SSO, MFA, Universal Directory, LCM, API Access Management.
• Deep knowledge of Azure AD (Entra ID) and Azure IAM concepts.
• Strong understanding of authentication and authorization protocols:
• SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SCIM
• Experience with Azure RBAC, Conditional Access, and cloud security controls.
• Hands-on experience with automation and IaC (Terraform, PowerShell, Python, REST APIs).
• Solid understanding of Zero Trust architecture.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
