Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in Snowflake and AWS cloud technologies to design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines and analytics platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Data Vault 2.0, modern ETL frameworks, DevSecOps automation, and cloud-native data engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Data Engineering & Architecture

·         Design and develop data pipelines using Data Vault 2.0 on Snowflake cloud data warehouse.

·         Design and implement ETL/ELT processes in AWS-based data lakes using batch and streaming solutions.

·         Participate in data modeling, application design, and architecture discussions.

·         Enforce data security policies, governance standards, and best practices.

AWS & Cloud Development

·         Build and manage data solutions using AWS services including S3, Glue, Lambda, and related components.

·         Develop scalable and reusable data processing solutions using Python and SQL.

·         Implement modern data movement and processing technologies such as Qlik, AWS Glue, and Lambda.

DevSecOps & Automation

·         Design, build, and maintain DevSecOps pipelines and automation frameworks.

·         Leverage tools such as Git, Jira, and Confluence for version control, documentation, and delivery tracking.

·         Drive delivery efficiency through automation and reusable components.

Testing & Production Support

·         Develop test strategies, testing frameworks, and test automation for data solutions.

·         Debug complex applications during production incident triage and provide root cause analysis.

·         Ensure reliability, performance, and scalability of data platforms.

Leadership & Collaboration

·         Promote and champion a modern engineering culture and best-practices-based development.

·         Mentor and supervise junior developers, providing technical guidance and oversight.

·         Manage multiple complex data engineering initiatives simultaneously.

·         Collaborate closely with business and IT stakeholders to ensure delivery success and customer satisfaction.

Required Skills & Qualifications

·         Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

·         5+ years of experience in data engineering with analytics-focused data warehouse platforms such as Snowflake.

·         3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS, including S3, Glue, Lambda, and related services.

·         Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python.

·         Extensive experience in database development, data pipeline design, and ETL/ELT development.

·         Experience working in Agile delivery environments.

·         Hands-on experience with DevSecOps pipelines and automation.

·         Proven ability to drive end-to-end solutions independently.

·         Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex production issues.
