Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled PHP / WordPress Developer with strong experience in custom WordPress theme and plugin development, PHP-based web applications, and end-to-end website development. The ideal candidate will independently design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise-grade business websites while collaborating closely with business, design, and technical stakeholders.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain business and enterprise websites based on functional and design requirements.
• Independently design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress themes for the organization's .com brand website, covering end-to-end theme development.
• Implement new features, UI enhancements, and performance optimizations for WordPress websites.
• Perform regular content updates, security patches, and version upgrades to ensure platform stability.
• Provide ongoing production support in collaboration with business, UX, and design teams.
• Lead development of custom WordPress themes and core functionalities for platforms such as the Horizontal Connectivity Hub.
• Participate in requirement analysis, theme customization, feature development, bug fixing, and system integration.
• Enhance and stabilize WordPress themes and plugins developed by external vendors, including:
• Identifying and fixing functional and performance issues
• Refactoring and optimizing legacy or buggy code
• Improving plugin reliability and maintainability
• Implementing enhancements aligned with business and technical standards
• Ensure seamless integration with dependent systems, APIs, and databases.

 

Essential Skills:

• Strong experience in PHP development.
• Extensive hands-on experience with WordPress (custom themes, plugins, and core customization).
• Database expertise in MySQL.
• Experience deploying and managing applications on Azure, AWS, and XAMPP environments.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies: JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery.
• Strong understanding of website performance optimization and security best practices.
