Title: Azure Data Engineer
Location: Tampa, FL
Max Rate: $45/hr on C2C
Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled Azure Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance data pipelines and data architectures on the Azure cloud platform. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Azure data services, Python, SQL, PySpark, Databricks, Snowflake, and both relational and NoSQL databases. You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure, and business-ready data solutions that enable data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and optimize end-to-end data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows using Azure data engineering services.
Build scalable and efficient data processing solutions using Azure Databricks, PySpark, and Snowflake for batch and real-time workloads.
Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and tables in relational and NoSQL databases such as Postgres and MongoDB.
Write clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable Python and SQL code for data transformation, validation, and loading.
Integrate data from multiple sources including structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business users to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure performance, reliability, scalability, and cost optimization.
Implement and enforce data quality checks, validation rules, and governance standards.
Ensure compliance with data security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
Work closely with cloud infrastructure and platform teams to resolve data-related issues.
Create and maintain technical documentation for data architecture, pipelines, workflows, and operational processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong experience as a Data Engineer on the Azure cloud platform.
Proficiency in Python and SQL.
Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks and PySpark.
Experience working with Snowflake data warehouse.
Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT design patterns and data pipeline orchestration.
Experience with Postgres (relational) and MongoDB (NoSQL) databases.
Solid understanding of data modeling, schema design, and performance tuning.
Experience handling large-scale datasets and distributed data processing.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
