Role Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced SAP S/4HANA SD Consultant with deep expertise in Order-to-Cash (OTC) processes. The consultant will lead system configuration, integrations, testing, and support across SD and FI touchpoints, working closely with business stakeholders, ABAP teams, and middleware partners in a complex enterprise landscape.
Key Responsibilities
SAP SD Configuration & OTC Processes
Configure and support SAP SD including:
Customer, Material, and Condition Master Data
Enterprise Structure definition and assignments
End-to-end Order-to-Cash lifecycle (Order Management, Delivery, Shipping, Billing)
Support complex OTC scenarios:
Third-party drop ship, Consignment, Intercompany, STO
Cross-selling, Rush orders, Returns
Contracts and Scheduling Agreements
Configure Output determination, Partner/Text/Material determination, and Credit Management.
Lead Pricing configuration using Condition Techniques (Pricing Procedures, Condition Tables, Access Sequences, Condition Types).
Configure Billing & Invoicing:
Billing types, plans, credit/debit memos
Milestone, periodic, resource-related billing
Proforma, advance billing, self-billing, payment terms
Logistics, Variant Configuration & Integration
Strong experience in Logistics Execution (LE):
Outbound Delivery, Picking, Packing, PGI
Hands-on experience with Variant Configuration:
Configurable materials, characteristics, dependencies, variant pricing
Design and support interfaces between SAP and non-SAP systems (Vertex, DView, web portals, etc.).
Experience with IDOCs (Inbound/Outbound) using EDI and ALE.
Work with middleware teams (EDI, ETL, BPM, ISOTRAC, MFT, IIB, DataPower, APIGEE, Distrack).
FI Integration & Cross-Module Expertise
Strong FI-SD integration knowledge, including:
Account determination (VKOA)
Customer accounting and reconciliation (FBL5N, FAGLL03H)
Down payments and clearing (F-29, F-28, FB05)
S/4HANA accounting tables (ACDOCA, BSEG)
Experience working across Supply Chain, Finance, and Manufacturing integrations.
Knowledge of global SAP localizations for SD.
Development Coordination & Testing
Create Functional Specifications for custom developments.
Collaborate with ABAP developers for:
Interfaces, reports, conversions
SmartForms debugging
ABAP dump analysis
Strong experience with RICEFW objects, BDC, and BAPI.
Lead Change Management and Testing:
Test Plans, Change Plans
Unit Testing, SIT, UAT, Feature & Product Integration Testing
Experience with PANAYA / HP ALM / HP QC / HP SM for test case management.
Data Migration & Business Collaboration
Partner with Business Analysts to conduct Data Migration workshops.
Support data validation and reconciliation activities.
Provide leadership in issue resolution, root-cause analysis, and prevention of recurring issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications
10+ years of SAP SD experience with strong S/4HANA OTC expertise.
Deep hands-on experience in SAP SD configuration and integrations.
Strong knowledge of Pricing, Billing, FI-SD integration, and Interfaces.
Proven experience in enterprise-scale SAP implementations and support.
Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative environment.
Nice to Have
Experience with Condition Contract Management (Rebates & Commissions).
Exposure to SAP ECC to S/4HANA migrations.
Experience in global or multi-country SAP rollouts.
