Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Slack Engineer with deep expertise in enterprise Slack administration, automation, and API development to enhance collaboration and productivity across the organization. This role focuses on managing Slack at scale, implementing secure and compliant governance models, and leveraging AI-driven and agent-based automation to optimize workflows. The ideal candidate will work closely with IT, security, and engineering teams to design and maintain a robust, scalable Slack ecosystem aligned with enterprise standards.

 

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Administer and optimize Slack for large enterprise environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability.
• Design and implement Slack governance frameworks to manage workspaces, users, channels, and integrations.
• Enforce enterprise security, compliance, and data governance policies across Slack environments.
• Manage Slack permissions, access controls, retention policies, and audit requirements.
• Design, build, and deploy Slack automation solutions using APIs, bots, workflows, and scripts.
• Develop and maintain custom Slack applications and integrations with enterprise systems, third-party tools, and internal platforms.
• Apply API design best practices to ensure secure, scalable, and maintainable integrations.
• Leverage agent-based automation and AI-driven strategies to improve collaboration efficiency and productivity.
• Implement and support AI-powered Slack workflows, including intelligent bots and automated decision-making agents.
• Collaborate with engineering and data teams to integrate AI-driven automation into Slack-based processes.
• Continuously evaluate and improve automation solutions based on usage patterns and business needs.
• Partner with IT, security, engineering, and business teams to deliver secure and scalable Slack solutions.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives from concept through implementation, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Provide guidance, documentation, and best practices for Slack usage and automation.
• Stay current with Slack platform enhancements, collaboration technology trends, and AI automation best practices.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve collaboration workflows and user experience.
• Drive innovation in enterprise collaboration technologies.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise Slack administration, including security, compliance, and governance.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python or JavaScript.
• Strong experience with Slack APIs, bot development, and workflow automation.
• Solid understanding of API design principles and system integration.
• Experience with agent-based automation and AI-driven strategies within Slack environments.
• Strong scripting skills for automation and operational tasks.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong strategic thinking with the ability to drive innovation.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to lead initiatives and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
