Job Title: Okta Developer / Okta IAM Engineer
Location: Onsite – Plano, TX
Experience Required: 10+ Years
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Okta Developer / IAM Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Okta customization, identity integrations, and application development. The ideal candidate will work closely with application teams to integrate Okta into enterprise applications and deliver secure identity solutions in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design, configure, and customize Okta identity and access management solutions.
Integrate Okta with custom applications using OIDC and SAML protocols.
Work closely with business application developers to embed Okta authentication and authorization into applications.
Develop and consume Okta APIs and implement the Okta Sign-In Widget.
Implement and support Lifecycle Management (LCM) using SCIM and OPP.
Manage and enhance advanced Okta infrastructure, including:
Org2Org integrations
Okta Workflows
Okta Provisioning Platform (OPP)
Develop custom automation and integrations using APIs (Python or similar languages acceptable).
Deliver work in an Agile environment, tracking tasks and progress using Jira.
Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Ensure solutions meet security, performance, and compliance standards.
Maintain technical documentation and integration guides.
Required Skills & Qualifications
10+ years of overall IT experience.
3–5 years of hands-on Okta experience.
Strong understanding of Okta customization and configuration.
Experience working with Okta APIs and Okta Sign-In Widget.
Hands-on experience integrating custom OIDC and SAML applications.
Solid understanding of Identity Lifecycle Management (LCM) using SCIM and OPP.
Experience with advanced Okta features such as Org2Org and Okta Workflows.
Application development background with experience leveraging APIs (Python preferred).
Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and use of Jira.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience integrating Okta with cloud or SaaS-based applications.
Exposure to security best practices and IAM governance models.
Experience working in large enterprise or regulated environments
