Title: Data Management / ODS Lead

Location: Remote

 

Role Description:

We are seeking an experienced Data Management professional to design, implement, and manage secure, scalable Operational Data Store (ODS) solutions that support enterprise reporting and business decision-making for critical applications. This role requires strong hands-on expertise in SQL, SSIS, Power BI, automation, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a cloud-enabled environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategize, design, implement, and manage ODS architectures, jobs, and environments to support reporting and analytics.
• Design and maintain highly available and scalable ODS solutions aligned with business and performance requirements.
• Develop, enhance, and support SSIS packages, SQL queries, databases, and reporting solutions.
• Document Power BI project requirements, data delivery roadmaps, and reporting workflows.
• Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries and scheduled jobs (daily, weekly, and monthly).
• Collaborate with application development, analytics, and infrastructure teams to deliver data management solutions.
• Implement and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Support cloud migration and data modernization initiatives across AWS and/or Azure platforms.
• Document cloud architecture, data flows, operational processes, and configurations.
• Conduct performance testing, tuning, and capacity planning to ensure system reliability.
• Ensure data quality, security, and compliance across all ODS and reporting solutions.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in Data Management / Data Engineering roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL Server, advanced SQL, and SSIS.
• Proven experience designing and managing Operational Data Store (ODS) solutions.
• Experience working with Power BI for reporting and analytics.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and performance optimization.
• Experience supporting cloud-based data platforms on AWS and/or Azure.
• Strong automation and job scheduling experience.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
