Job Title: Data Analyst – Data Classification & Governance (Collibra)
Location: Remote
Job Summary
We are seeking a Data Analyst with Collibra experience to support enterprise data classification, governance, and metadata management initiatives. The ideal candidate will work closely with data owners, stewards, and governance teams to ensure data assets are accurately classified, compliant with policies, and properly documented within enterprise data catalogs.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in data classification and tagging of enterprise data assets using Collibra or similar data governance tools.
Support implementation and maintenance of data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
Collaborate with data owners, data stewards, and governance teams to ensure consistent metadata and data definitions.
Maintain and update enterprise data catalogs, including business and technical metadata.
Support data quality initiatives, including identification of data issues and documentation of remediation actions.
Prepare documentation, dashboards, and reports related to data governance, classification status, and compliance metrics.
Participate in governance forums, working sessions, and audits as required.
Ensure adherence to data management best practices and regulatory requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience as a Data Analyst supporting data governance or data management initiatives.
Hands-on experience or strong familiarity with Collibra (preferred) or other enterprise data catalog/governance tools.
Understanding of data classification, metadata management, and data quality concepts.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and document data assets and business definitions.
Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders (business, IT, data teams).
Strong documentation and reporting skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
