Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced SAS Developer with 10+ years of hands-on expertise in SAS development, ETL processing, and SQL. The ideal candidate will support enterprise data processing, regulatory reporting, and financial analytics initiatives while ensuring data accuracy, performance, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, enhance, and maintain SAS programs using Base SAS, SAS Macros, PROC SQL, data steps, and proc steps.
Perform complex ETL operations to extract, transform, and load data from multiple structured and unstructured sources.
Utilize SAS Hash programming for high-performance data processing.
Conduct data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
Support financial modeling, cost allocation, and profitability analysis using SAS Cost and Performance Management (SAS CPM).
Collaborate with business users, data analysts, and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
Maintain detailed technical and functional documentation.
Adhere to SDLC processes, change management, and audit requirements (SOX, FFIEC).
Assist with SAS administration tasks, including environment setup and access management.
Schedule and monitor batch jobs using Windows Task Scheduler and BMC Control-M.
Required Skills & Qualifications
10+ years of hands-on experience as a SAS Developer.
Strong expertise in:
Base SAS
SAS Macro programming
PROC SQL
Data steps and proc steps
Solid experience in ETL development using SAS.
Proficiency in SQL.
Experience with SAS Hash programming.
Strong background in data validation, reconciliation, and regulatory compliance.
Familiarity with SDLC, change control, and audit frameworks (SOX, FFIEC).
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
SAS Certification (Base or Advanced Programmer for SAS 9.4).
Hands-on experience with SAS Cost and Performance Management (CPM).
Experience with SAS Admin functions, including:
SAS server and application setup
Library and metadata management
User, group, role, and access permission administration
Repository and folder structure management
Exposure to enterprise scheduling tools such as BMC Control-M
