Role: Azure Data Factory Data Engineer
Location : Waltham, MA, USA (Fully Onsite from Day 1)

Duration: 12+ months

Key Responsibilities:

Experience Required:

• 6–8+ years of hands-on experience in Azure Identity services, Azure AD integrations, and Azure Data Factory
• 6+ years specifically working with Azure Active Directory Connect, ADFS, and SSO implementations
• Comfortable working from customer location in Waltham, MA from Day 1

Core Technical Competencies:

• Azure Active Directory Connect (AD Connect)
• Azure Data Factory
• ADFS (Active Directory Federation Services)
• On-Prem Active Directory administration
• SSO, Enterprise App Registration, and Identity Audit Support
• Disaster Recovery planning for identity services

Primary Responsibilities:

Azure AD Connect (AADC / AAD Connect):

• Create and modify synchronization policies, sync rules, and transformation rules in Azure AD Connect
• Manage and troubleshoot sync errors related to users and groups
• Configure and manage system backups
• Support user/group synchronization troubleshooting and issue resolution
• Set up and maintain Azure AD Connect staging servers
• Deploy and configure staging servers for AD Connect
• Configure and maintain staging servers for AADC
• Plan and execute disaster recovery strategies for Azure AD Connect servers
• Implement disaster recovery planning for AADC servers
• Configure and maintain AADC disaster recovery planning, staging, and backups
• Set up and manage staging servers for Azure AD Connect
• Provide troubleshooting support for user and group sync errors
• Maintain and support AADC server disaster recovery and backup planning
• Monitor and act on alerts from the Azure AD Connect Health portal
• Take corrective actions based on sync health monitoring and Office 365 Admin Center alerts
• Act on email alerts related to AADC sync issues

ADFS (Active Directory Federation Services):

• Configure and manage relying party trusts, metadata, and federation endpoints
• Restore and validate ADFS services when required
• Support DR setup and restoration for Web Application Proxy in ADFS
• Perform certificate updates and renewals
• Manage and perform ADFS certificate renewals and updates
• Update and maintain ADFS certificates
• Update certificates for ADFS relying parties
• Configure relying party trusts and update metadata
• Configure relying party settings and update metadata for ADFS
• Manage relying party trusts, metadata, and certificate renewals for ADFS
• Manage relying party configurations, metadata, and certificates
• Manage relying party configurations, metadata, and certificates for ADFS
• Update client secrets, certificates, and app metadata in ADFS/Azure SSO flows
• Maintain certificate lifecycle updates for ADFS services
• Maintain certificate lifecycle updates for ADFS services and relying parties

Active Directory and Azure AD:

• Administer and support On-Prem Active Directory environments
• Troubleshoot Group Policy and OU policy structures
• Troubleshoot Active Directory Group Policy and OU policy structures
• Troubleshoot Active Directory Group Policy and OU structure issues
• Troubleshoot Active Directory Group Policy and OU structure issues, including replication and GPO diagnostics
• Perform AD replication and replication failure troubleshooting
• Troubleshoot AD replication and replication failures
• Troubleshoot AD replication and replication failures across data centers
• Troubleshoot AD replication failures across data centers
• Troubleshoot AD replication failures across data centers and validate topology
• Perform AD replication troubleshooting and resolve replication failures
• Support Azure AD administration including:
• Enterprise App registration and SSO enablement
• Service Principal and service connection management
• Secrets, certificates, and client credential updates
• Audit support by providing AAD identity data to security teams
• Support Azure AD Enterprise App registration, SSO enablement, and credential lifecycle updates
• Support Azure AD Enterprise App registration, SSO enablement, and credential lifecycle updates for service principals
• Maintain Azure AD Enterprise App registration, SSO enablement, and credential lifecycle updates
• Maintain Azure AD Enterprise App registration, SSO enablement, and credential lifecycle updates for service principals and secrets
• Maintain and support Azure AD Enterprise App registration, SSO enablement, and credential lifecycle updates for service principals and secrets
• Support provisioning and de-provisioning of Azure SSO identities
• Support provisioning and de-provisioning of Azure SSO identities for enterprise applications
• Support provisioning and de-provisioning of Azure SSO identities for enterprise applications and service principals
• Support provisioning, de-provisioning, and credential updates of Azure SSO identities
• Maintain provisioning, de-provisioning, and credential updates of Azure SSO identities for enterprise applications
• Maintain provisioning, de-provisioning, and credential updates of Azure SSO identities for enterprise applications and service principals
• Maintain provisioning, de-provisioning, and credential updates of Azure SSO identities for enterprise applications and service principals including client secrets and certificates

• Support directory sync and SSO consulting for Office 365 services
• Provide consulting support for directory sync and Office 365 SSO integrations

Security and Compliance Support:

• Provide AAD identity information for audits as required by security teams
• Maintain secure and reliable identity federation and sync operations
