Title: Appian Developer

Location: Jersey City, NJ / Dallas, TX / Tampa, FL

 

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Appian Developer with strong expertise in Appian BPM to design, develop, and deploy enterprise-grade business process and case management solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Appian designer features, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile delivery, and will be capable of working independently in fast-paced sprint environments while guiding the team through impact analysis and technical best practices.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement business process and case management solutions using Appian BPM.
• Work extensively with Appian Designer features, configurations, and architecture components.
• Develop and customize Appian components including:
• Tempo
• Mobility features
• Interfaces and Pages
• Smart Services
• Reports and Dashboards
• Application deployment and versioning
• Build and enhance Case Management Services in Appian.
• Perform impact analysis for change requests and provide technical guidance to the team.
• Work independently on JIRA user stories, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Bitbucket.
• Ensure best practices for performance, security, and scalability are followed.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation and design artifacts.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, business users, and cross-functional teams.

 

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

• 8–10 years of overall IT experience with strong hands-on expertise in Appian BPM.
• In-depth knowledge of:
• BPM fundamentals
• Appian architecture components
• Appian Designer features and configurations
• Proven experience in Case Management Services development.
• Hands-on experience with Appian components:
• Tempo
• Mobility features
• Pages and Interfaces
• Smart Services
• Reports
• Deployment and application lifecycle management
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins and Bitbucket.
• Strong experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Continuous Integration).
• Ability to work independently and deliver in short, high-pressure sprint cycles.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform impact analysis.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
