Engineer (PAM – Delinea Secret Server)
Location: Lake Forest, IL
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IAM Engineer (Privileged Access Management) with strong hands-on expertise in the Delinea Suite. The ideal candidate will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Delinea Secret Server and Privilege Manager, leading the design, implementation, and management of the organization’s Privileged Access Management (PAM) environment.
This role focuses on securing privileged credentials, eliminating standing privileges, and ensuring secure access across on-premises and cloud environments. Hands-on technical experience with Delinea is mandatory, and candidates must be able to demonstrate real-world implementation experience during interviews.
Key Responsibilities
Delinea Architecture & Implementation
- Lead the design and implementation of Delinea Secret Server (On-Premises or Cloud).
- Deploy and configure Delinea Privilege Manager.
- Manage distributed engines, secret policies, and system configurations.
- Scale and optimize PAM infrastructure.
Privileged Access Management
- Implement and maintain credential management processes.
- Configure secret heartbeat and password rotation.
- Manage remote password changing (RPC).
- Implement check-in and check-out workflows for privileged accounts.
- Secure service accounts, admin accounts, and root credentials.
Endpoint Privilege Management
- Configure policies in Delinea Privilege Manager.
- Enforce least privilege access principles.
- Enable controlled elevation of privileges.
- Restrict unauthorized administrative access.
Secure Remote Access
- Implement secure remote access solutions.
- Configure session monitoring and recording.
- Support vendor and third-party secure access.
- Provide audited administrative access.
Integration & Automation
- Integrate Delinea with Active Directory and Azure AD.
- Integrate with SIEM tools such as Microsoft Sentinel.
- Integrate with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow.
- Automate credential lifecycle management.
- Develop scripts for automation using PowerShell or Python.
Cloud & Hybrid Security
- Support Azure PIM implementations.
- Configure Conditional Access policies.
- Support hybrid identity environments.
- Ensure secure cloud access management.
Discovery & Onboarding
- Configure automated discovery rules.
- Identify unmanaged privileged accounts.
- Onboard privileged accounts into Delinea.
- Support Windows, Linux, and network devices.
Session Monitoring & Auditing
- Configure session monitoring and recording.
- Monitor high-risk privileged sessions.
- Generate audit reports.
- Support compliance audits.
- Address privileged access findings.
Required Skills
