Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Teamcenter Senior Administrator to lead cloud migration and upgrade initiatives for enterprise PLM environments.
The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on expertise in Teamcenter installation, configuration, upgrades, cloud deployment (IaaS), CAD integrations, and Active Workspace setup, along with experience leading migration and upgrade projects in regulated environments.
This role includes technical leadership, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and coordination with cross-functional teams and Siemens GTAC support.
Must-Have Technical Expertise
Teamcenter Administration
- Installation & configuration covering:
- 2-tier and 4-tier architectures
- BMIDE
- SSO & SSL configuration
- Active Workspace
- Experience managing Teamcenter environments on:
- Linux
- Windows
Integrations & Components
- CAD integration installation and configuration
- Dispatcher configuration
- Active Workspace component setup
- Deployment Center knowledge
Upgrades & Cloud Deployment
- Executing Teamcenter upgrades (patches, hotfixes, major version upgrades)
- Migration from on-prem to IaaS cloud model
- Bulk data migration with integrity validation
- Performance tuning in cloud environments
- Cloud-based Teamcenter configuration optimization
Automation & Scripting
- Experience with scripting for admin tasks:
- Shell
- Perl
- Python
- TCL
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Migration & Upgrade Execution
- Install and configure Teamcenter in cloud environments.
- Execute structured upgrade plans.
- Apply patches and hotfixes as required.
- Support large-scale data migration from on-prem to cloud.
- Ensure data integrity and performance optimization.
Testing & Performance Optimization
- Validate workflows, integrations, and configurations post-deployment.
- Diagnose and resolve:
- System errors
- Performance issues
- Data inconsistencies
- Monitor application and database performance continuously.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Act as liaison with:
- Siemens GTAC support
- Network teams
- Database teams
- Product owners
- Collaborate with business analysts and solution architects.
- Ensure alignment with migration and upgrade objectives.
Documentation & Governance
- Maintain detailed documentation of:
- Cloud architecture
- Processes and procedures
- Configuration baselines
- Ensure compliance with ITAR regulations.
Leadership & Mentorship
- Lead and groom Teamcenter admin teams.
- Mentor junior administrators.
- Provide technical guidance throughout migration activities.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of Teamcenter Administration experience
- Experience with cloud migration and large-scale upgrades
- Strong PLM architecture understanding
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline
- Strong communication and coordination skills
