Job Summary
We are seeking a hands-on PL/SQL & Unix Batch Operations Analyst with strong experience in Oracle PL/SQL, Unix/Linux batch operations, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to support daily operations within a Manhattan DFIO / Supply Chain Management environment.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring batch jobs, troubleshooting failures, performing root cause analysis, and ensuring the stability and performance of data processing workflows. This role requires close collaboration with DBAs, application teams, and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Batch Operations & Monitoring
- Monitor and manage daily and overnight batch jobs in Unix/Linux environments
- Validate batch job pre-conditions and post-conditions
- Troubleshoot and recover failed batch jobs
- Perform safe reruns of failed jobs following standard procedures
- Maintain batch job documentation and runbooks
Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Investigate batch job failures and performance issues
- Analyze Unix logs and database logs
- Identify root causes and implement corrective actions
- Document root cause analysis and preventive measures
- Track and resolve recurring issues
Database Analysis (PL/SQL)
- Analyze and debug Oracle PL/SQL packages and procedures
- Troubleshoot data and logic issues in batch processes
- Write and optimize SQL queries
- Analyze execution plans for performance tuning
- Work with DBAs on indexing and query optimization
- Maintain understanding of database tables and data flows
Manhattan DFIO Support
- Support Manhattan DFIO batch processing operations
- Troubleshoot data processing issues
- Validate configuration changes
- Support Manhattan UI configurations
- Collaborate with Manhattan product teams
Daily Operations
- Publish daily status reports and open items
- Prioritize issues based on business impact
- Track incidents and changes
- Maintain operational documentation
- Ensure SLA compliance
Testing & Validation
- Create test scenarios for system changes
- Execute system tests
- Validate configuration changes
- Support production releases
- Perform post-release validation
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Communicate with business and technical teams
- Provide status updates on incidents
- Coordinate issue resolution
- Support production incidents
- Participate in on-call support as needed
