ROLE DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a Senior Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer/Architect with deep expertise in Azure data platforms and modern cloud-based data architecture. This is not a remote position. The candidate must work onsite in Newark, NJ three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).
No OPT. Experienced candidates only.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, architect, deploy, and maintain enterprise-scale solutions on Microsoft Azure data platform.
Lead implementation and architecture using Microsoft Fabric.
Build modern data warehouse and data lake solutions using Azure services.
Develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure-native tools.
Work with big data technologies such as Spark and Databricks.
Design dimensional models and schema structures for analytics use cases.
Lead Proof of Concepts (POCs) to validate architecture feasibility.
Provide architectural guidance and technical direction to engineering teams.
Drive modernization initiatives and reduce technical debt.
Align architecture roadmaps with enterprise technology strategy.
Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver business-aligned data solutions.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
12+ years of experience with SQL, schema design, and dimensional data modeling.
5+ years of hands-on experience in modern data engineering on Azure cloud.
Strong expertise in:
Microsoft Fabric
Azure Synapse Analytics
Azure Data Factory
Azure SQL Database
Azure Data Lake Storage
Strong experience with Spark ecosystem and programming in PySpark and Spark SQL.
Expertise in ETL patterns for ingestion, processing, and distribution.
Strong understanding of data warehouse best practices and standards.
Experience designing complex data solutions on Azure Data Platform.
