Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Python Backend Developer with ELK Cloud Administration expertise to design scalable backend services and manage centralized logging and monitoring platforms in AWS environments.
The ideal candidate will combine strong backend development capabilities with hands-on ELK Stack administration to ensure system observability, reliability, and performance across cloud-based applications.
Key Responsibilities
Backend Development
· Design and develop scalable backend applications and REST APIs using Python.
· Build microservices-based architectures.
· Ensure high performance, security, and maintainability.
ELK Stack Administration
· Build, deploy, and manage ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) in cloud environments.
· Administer and optimize ELK clusters for:
o Performance
o Reliability
o Security
· Integrate application and infrastructure logs into ELK.
· Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting best practices.
AWS Cloud Deployment
· Deploy and manage applications on AWS using:
o EC2
o S3
o RDS
o IAM
o CloudWatch
o VPC
· Optimize cloud infrastructure for scalability and availability.
DevOps & Automation
· Implement CI/CD pipelines.
· Automate deployments and infrastructure provisioning.
· Work with Docker and containerized environments.
· Collaborate with DevOps and Cloud teams.
Production Support & Optimization
· Troubleshoot production issues.
· Perform root cause analysis.
· Monitor system health and optimize logging pipelines.
Required Skills
· 8–10 years of experience in backend or cloud engineering roles.
· Strong proficiency in Python.
· Hands-on ELK Stack administration experience.
· Solid experience with AWS cloud services.
· Experience with REST APIs and microservices architecture.
· Strong Linux knowledge and shell scripting.
· Understanding of networking fundamentals.
· Experience with monitoring and observability frameworks.
· Familiarity with Docker and containerized environments.
Ideal Candidate Profile
This role is ideal for someone who:
· Has real ELK cluster administration experience (not just log usage).
· Has deployed ELK in AWS production environments.
· Is strong in Python backend development.
· Understands observability and logging architecture deeply.
· Can work onsite full-time in San Jose, CA.
