Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Tandem Developer with strong expertise in HP NonStop systems. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining applications on the Tandem platform. This role requires strong programming skills in Tandem technologies along with the ability to analyze business requirements and deliver reliable and scalable solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain applications on the HP NonStop (Tandem) platform.
• Write, test, and debug code using Tandem programming languages such as COBOL and TACL.
• Develop and maintain batch processing and online transaction processing (OLTP) systems.
• Implement enhancements and fixes to existing Tandem applications.
• Ensure application stability, performance, and reliability.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Design scalable and efficient technical solutions.
• Collaborate with business analysts and project teams.
• Participate in system design and architecture discussions.
• Develop and execute unit and integration test plans.
• Perform system testing and validation.
• Document technical designs and development processes.
• Ensure compliance with organizational standards.
• Provide technical support for Tandem applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
• Work with infrastructure teams for system integrations.
• Participate in on-call support when required.

 

Required Skills

• 6–8 years of experience with HP NonStop (Tandem) systems.
• Strong programming experience in:
• COBOL
• TACL
• Experience with Tandem databases:
• Enscribe
• SQL/MP
• Knowledge of Tandem utilities:
• Pathway
• TMF
• Guardian
• Experience with batch processing and OLTP systems.
• Strong understanding of system performance tuning.
• Experience in system enhancements and maintenance.
