QA Automation Engineer – Playwright
Location: McLean, VA
Work Mode: 100% Onsite (Day 1)
Duration: 12+ Months
Experience Required: 8–10 Years
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Playwright (Mandatory) to design, develop, and maintain a robust automation framework for web applications.
The ideal candidate will drive the transition toward a Continuous Testing model by integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines and reducing manual regression efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Automation Framework Development
· Design, build, and maintain an end-to-end automation framework using:
o Playwright (Mandatory)
o TypeScript or JavaScript
· Ensure framework scalability, maintainability, and reusability.
Test Development & Execution
· Design and execute automated test cases for:
o Functional testing
o Regression testing
o Integration testing
o End-to-End (E2E) testing
· Develop automated tests for RESTful APIs to validate backend services and data integrity.
CI/CD & DevOps Integration
· Integrate automated test suites into DevOps pipelines such as:
o GitHub Actions
o GitLab CI
o Jenkins
· Enable automated gated check-ins and continuous validation.
Cross-Browser & Quality Assurance
· Leverage Playwright capabilities to validate application performance across:
o Chromium
o Firefox
o WebKit
· Identify, document, and track defects using JIRA.
· Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve flaky tests.
· Participate in peer code reviews to maintain high-quality automation standards.
Required Skills & Experience
· 8–10 years of QA / Automation experience.
· Strong hands-on experience with Playwright (Must Have).
· Experience with TypeScript or JavaScript.
· Experience automating RESTful API testing.
· Experience integrating automation with CI/CD pipelines.
· Experience using defect tracking tools such as JIRA.
· Strong understanding of automation best practices.
· Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
