Position – Senior Azure Platform & DevOps Engineer

Duration – 6 months

Location – Omaha, NE - onsite

MOI – Virtual Round

 

Job Description:

 

• Core Responsibilities Strategy Planning Develop cloud adoption roadmaps| define Azure strategy| and align solutions with business objectives.
• Design Architecture Create secure| resilient| scalable Azure solutions (IaaSPaaSSaaS)| including networking| identity (Azure ADEntra ID)| and governance.
• Implementation Oversight Guide technical execution| manage project lifecycles| and ensure adherence to standards.
•  Security Compliance Implement security protocols| manage identity| and ensure adherence to industry standards.
• Cost Performance Optimization Monitor resources| optimize for cost-efficiency| and tune performance.
• Migration Modernization Develop strategies for moving on-premises systems to Azure.
• Technical Leadership Mentor teams| provide technical direction| and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Documentation Create and maintain architecture designs| operational procedures| and technical documentation.
•  Stay Current Keep abreast of new Azure services| trends| and best practices.

• Senior Azure Platform & DevOps Engineer
• Hands-on Azure Experience: 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure and platform engineering, with 3+ years specifically in Azure.
• IaC Expertise: Strong proficiency in writing, reviewing, and maintaining Bicep templates.
• AVM Knowledge: Deep understanding of Azure Verified Modules (AVM) to create reusable, standardized building blocks.
• DevOps Tools: Expert in Azure DevOps (Boards, Repos, Pipelines).
• Azure Services: Strong knowledge of Azure Compute, Networking (VNets, ExpressRoute), Storage, and Identity.
• Scripting: Proficiency in PowerShell and/or Azure CLI.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) modules using Bicep and integrate them into the Azure Verified Modules (AVM) framework to ensure standardization.
• Platform Engineering: Build and maintain secure, scalable, and resilient Azure landing zones.
• CI/CD Pipeline Development: Design and implement automated CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions for infrastructure and application deployment.
• Governance & Security: Implement Azure Policies, RBAC, and governance frameworks to enforce security best practices.
• Automation: Utilize PowerShell or Azure CLI to automate routine tasks and optimize operational efficiency.
• Monitoring & Optimization: Monitor infrastructure health, performance, and cost optimization using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
• Collaboration: Work with developers to provide self-service tools, such as starter kits and templates.
