Need: QA Program Manager for Stamford, CT

Job Title: QA Program Manager (Quality Assurance Program Manager)
Location: Stamford, CT, USA (On-Site)
Duration: 12+ Months


Experience Required:

  • 10–15 years in software quality and testing within BFSI environments

  • Minimum 5 years leading multi-team QA programs across products, workstreams, and vendors

  • Hands-on experience architecting and scaling test automation frameworks

  • Domain experience with Fiserv core banking platforms (DNA, Signature, Premier or equivalent), payments (ACH, Bill Pay), and card and digital channels


Core Competencies:

  • QA program planning, resourcing, budgeting, risk, and release governance

  • Data-driven testing, automation architecture, and enterprise test strategy

  • Data Quality Management (DQM) and test data reliability in regulated banking programs

  • Vendor collaboration, defect triage, hotfix validation, and audit-ready quality delivery

  • Shift-left and shift-right quality engineering practices

  • Production quality oversight, incident RCA, and release readiness controls


Primary Responsibilities:

Program Leadership and Test Strategy

  • Own end-to-end QA program planning including budgeting, resourcing, scheduling, risk, and dependency management across multiple teams and vendors

  • Define enterprise test strategy across functional testing, integration, end-to-end validation, UAT, non-functional testing (NFR), and environment reliability

  • Align QA milestones to product roadmaps and regulatory and compliance requirements (SOX, PCI DSS, FFIEC, GLBA or equivalent)

  • Establish standardized quality playbooks covering defect prevention, test data strategy, root cause analysis, and release readiness governance

  • Lead defect triage, risk-based test planning, go/no-go decisions, rollback validation, and release quality SLAs

Automation Architecture and Quality Engineering

  • Architect, scale, and govern UI, API, services, and database automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright, RestAssured, Postman, JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber BDD or similar tools

  • Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab or equivalent) including quality gates, parallel execution, test impact analysis, and dashboard reporting (Allure, Extent, Allure, Extent, or equivalent)

  • Champion data-driven test engineering including synthetic test data generation, service virtualization, data validation automation, and test observability artifacts

  • Enforce automation coding standards, coverage governance, test reliability controls, and test artifact publishing for audit traceability

Fiserv Platform and Banking Product QA Delivery

  • Lead QA planning and integration test execution for core banking platforms and payment channels including migrations, data conversions, feature upgrades, and hotfix validation

  • Collaborate with vendor teams for defect triage, release note validation, patch certification, and hotfix test evidence sign-off

  • Ensure traceability from product and regulatory requirements to test evidence, execution logs, reports, and compliance artifacts

Release and Production Quality Oversight

  • Own release readiness governance including go/no-go decisions, quality checkpoints, test evidence validation, rollback plans, defect SLAs, and incident post-release quality verification

  • Oversee production quality support including proactive monitoring, incident RCA ownership, problem management, defect SLAs, and troubleshooting support for data-related or automation-related failures

  • Perform hands-on data validation and troubleshooting support when required for release or production incidents

Compliance, Audit, and Security

  • Maintain audit-ready test evidence, artifacts, and traceability logs for internal and external audits

  • Enforce security-focused test practices including static/dynamic test inputs, secure configuration validation, and data masking/governance in test environments

  • Provide QA evidence and support for audit reviews, model validations, compliance reviews, and risk assessments


Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Business, Engineering, or related field (Preferred)

  • 10–15 years in software testing and quality engineering, including 5+ years leading multi-team QA programs in BFSI

  • Proven ability to design, scale, and govern test automation frameworks across UI, API, and data layers

  • Strong banking domain expertise and vendor collaboration for core banking and payments ecosystems

  • Hands-on exposure to production quality oversight, data validations, incident RCA ownership, and problem management

  • Excellent communication, risk management, stakeholder collaboration, and delivery governance skills

  • Ability to lead global teams, manage ambiguity, and drive predictable, compliant, and reliable quality outcomes
