Job Title: Agile Coach

Location: Phoenix, AZ (Onsite)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Agile Coach to play a pivotal role in establishing and scaling a new Agile Center of Excellence (CoE). This position will work closely with delivery teams, Product Owners, Scrum Leads, engineers, and IT leadership to drive Agile transformation, strengthen delivery practices, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on Agile practitioner with extensive experience coaching teams through Agile adoption, improving delivery predictability, and implementing Agile best practices across large-scale IT organizations.

Key Responsibilities

• Embed directly within delivery teams to provide hands-on Agile coaching and mentoring.
• Guide Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Scrum Leads, and development teams in Agile principles, frameworks, and best practices.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, Backlog Refinement, and Release Planning.
• Improve team effectiveness, delivery predictability, and overall Agile maturity.
• Identify and eliminate delivery impediments, Agile anti-patterns, and organizational blockers.
• Coach leadership teams on Agile mindset, servant leadership, and organizational transformation.
• Support Agile onboarding, team launches, and stabilization efforts for newly formed Agile teams.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through metrics, retrospectives, and process optimization.
• Establish and reinforce Agile governance, execution standards, and delivery best practices.
• Partner with the Agile Center of Excellence to develop Agile frameworks, standards, training materials, and coaching programs.
• Ensure Agile tools and reporting mechanisms provide transparency, visibility, and actionable insights.
• Promote healthy team dynamics, collaboration, accountability, and ownership.
• Assist teams in backlog management, prioritization, roadmap planning, and value delivery.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration among business stakeholders, technology teams, and leadership.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business, Project Management, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Agile Coaching, Project Management, Scrum Leadership, or Agile Transformation roles.
• Proven experience leading Agile adoption and organizational Agile transformation initiatives.
• Strong understanding of Agile frameworks including Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, Lean, and Agile Scaling methodologies.
• Experience coaching multiple Agile teams in enterprise-level environments.
• Deep understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Strong knowledge of Agile metrics, velocity tracking, flow metrics, and delivery forecasting.
• Experience managing large, complex IT initiatives and transformation programs.
• Excellent facilitation, coaching, mentoring, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with executive-level stakeholder engagement experience.
