Role Name - Scrum Master
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master with 8+ years of experience leading Agile software development teams. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe methodologies, along with hands-on experience using Azure DevOps (ADO) and Jira. This role requires a servant leader who can facilitate Agile ceremonies, remove delivery impediments, drive continuous improvement, and ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as Scrum Master for Agile software development teams, ensuring adherence to Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe principles.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement sessions.
- Coach Agile teams on Scrum best practices, Agile values, and continuous improvement.
- Identify, track, and remove delivery impediments to improve team productivity and delivery flow.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to prioritize and manage product backlogs.
- Monitor sprint progress, release plans, and team velocity to ensure timely delivery.
- Develop, analyze, and maintain Agile reports, dashboards, and project metrics.
- Monitor team health, identify improvement opportunities, and promote high-performing Agile teams.
- Communicate project status, risks, and delivery updates to management and leadership.
- Support Agile transformation initiatives across the organization.
- Ensure Definition of Done (DoD), user stories, acceptance criteria, and Agile artifacts are consistently maintained.
- Work closely with cross-functional technical teams to understand and resolve high-level technical issues.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience as a Scrum Master supporting software development projects.
- Strong experience with Azure DevOps (ADO).
- Hands-on experience with Jira and Agile project management tools.
- Excellent knowledge of Scrum frameworks, ceremonies, and Agile artifacts.
- Experience with Kanban, SAFe, and other Agile frameworks such as XP.
- Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Experience facilitating Scrum and SAFe events for multiple Agile teams.
- Strong ability to identify and resolve project risks, dependencies, and delivery impediments.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, conflict resolution, and servant leadership skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to monitor project progress and provide meaningful metrics and reporting to leadership.
- Experience promoting continuous improvement and Agile maturity within teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), or equivalent Agile certification.
- Experience working in large enterprise Agile environments.
