Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Informatica Cloud Data Governance & Catalog (CDGC) Developer to support the implementation, administration, and optimization of Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) with a focus on Cloud Data Governance & Catalog (CDGC). The ideal candidate will have expertise in metadata management, data governance, data cataloging, compliance, and Informatica Cloud Data Integration (CDI).
The successful candidate will collaborate with data governance, engineering, architecture, and business teams to establish enterprise-wide governance standards, automate metadata management, improve data quality, and ensure compliance across cloud and on-premises data platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Data Governance & Catalog
- Design, implement, and support Informatica Cloud Data Governance & Catalog (CDGC) solutions.
- Configure and manage metadata harvesting, business glossary, data lineage, and metadata repositories.
- Develop and maintain enterprise data governance frameworks, standards, and policies.
- Define and manage data domains, business terms, classifications, and governance workflows.
- Ensure enterprise metadata is accurate, consistent, and aligned with business standards.
Metadata Management
- Configure automated metadata ingestion from cloud and on-premises data sources.
- Maintain end-to-end data lineage across enterprise data platforms.
- Develop and manage business glossaries, reference data, and metadata repositories.
- Collaborate with Data Stewards to standardize metadata definitions and governance practices.
- Support metadata synchronization between Informatica IDMC, cloud data warehouses, and enterprise applications.
Data Governance & Compliance
- Implement governance policies to support enterprise compliance initiatives.
- Enforce data governance standards and best practices.
- Support regulatory compliance requirements and audit activities.
- Participate in disaster recovery testing, password rotation, and security compliance initiatives.
- Monitor governance processes and recommend continuous improvements.
Informatica Cloud Data Integration (CDI)
- Develop and support Informatica Cloud Data Integration (CDI) mappings and workflows.
- Integrate metadata and governance processes with enterprise ETL/ELT solutions.
- Support cloud data integration and synchronization across multiple platforms.
- Optimize Informatica Cloud jobs for performance and scalability.
- Troubleshoot integration, metadata, and catalog-related issues.
Platform Administration & Support
- Monitor Informatica IDMC platform health and system performance.
- Perform capacity planning and environment maintenance.
- Support Informatica Cloud releases, upgrades, testing, and production deployments.
- Implement platform governance, coding standards, and deployment best practices.
- Resolve platform performance and operational issues.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Develop dashboards and reports for metadata, governance, and data quality KPIs.
- Monitor system utilization, metadata quality, and platform performance.
- Support enterprise reporting and governance metrics.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through automation.
Collaboration
- Partner with Data Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, Security, and Data Governance teams.
- Work closely with Data Stewards and Business Analysts to define governance requirements.
- Participate in architecture discussions and enterprise data governance initiatives.
- Provide technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge transfer.
- Stay current with Informatica IDMC, CDGC, and CDI product enhancements and industry best practices.
Required Skills
- 6–8 years of experience in Informatica Data Management solutions.
- Strong expertise in:
- Informatica Cloud Data Governance & Catalog (CDGC)
- Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC)
- Informatica Cloud Data Integration (CDI)
- Hands-on experience with:
- Metadata Management
- Metadata Harvesting
- Business Glossary
- Data Lineage
- Data Catalog
- Data Governance
- Experience implementing enterprise governance frameworks.
- Strong understanding of data quality, metadata management, and governance best practices.
- Experience integrating cloud and on-premises data platforms.
- Knowledge of cloud data warehouses and enterprise data ecosystems.
- Experience with ETL/ELT development and cloud data integration.
- Strong SQL skills and data analysis experience.
- Experience with dashboard development and governance reporting.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Informatica Data Quality (IDQ).
- Experience with Informatica Master Data Management (MDM).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and automation practices.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Understanding of enterprise data architecture and data governance frameworks.
