Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Delivery Lead to drive the successful delivery of enterprise mainframe initiatives within a Financial Services/Custody environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in mainframe technologies, project delivery leadership, and SDLC methodologies, along with the ability to lead cross-functional teams through end-to-end project execution.
This role requires a strong balance of technical knowledge, project management expertise, risk management, and stakeholder communication to ensure successful implementation and operational stability of business-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Execution
- Plan and deliver end-to-end projects covering:
- Requirements Gathering
- Solution Design
- Development and Testing
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Cutover Planning
- Production Deployment
- Hypercare and Post-Go-Live Support
- Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within scope, and in accordance with business objectives.
Program & Project Management
- Manage project RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies).
- Provide regular project status reporting and executive updates through Clarity and other project governance tools.
- Manage IT budget planning and project time tracking activities.
- Coordinate project dependencies and drive issue resolution across teams and stakeholders.
Production Readiness & Support
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing and production readiness activities.
- Ensure stable post-production performance and operational support following implementation.
- Lead complex cutover activities and post-implementation stabilization efforts.
- Drive continuous improvements to delivery processes and operational practices.
Risk, Compliance & Governance
- Ensure alignment with enterprise risk, compliance, audit, and regulatory standards.
- Maintain comprehensive and auditable change management documentation.
- Design and implement processes that are audit-ready and regulator-compliant.
- Partner with Risk, Compliance, and Operations teams to support governance initiatives.
Technical Leadership
- Participate in all aspects of software development, including:

- 10+ years of experience in Mainframe Development, Delivery Management, or Enterprise Application Delivery.
- Proven experience leading enterprise projects in Financial Services or Custody environments.

- JCL
- SQL and Stored Procedures
- CICS
- IBM MQ
- Batch Processing
- Experience using Jira, Confluence, RTC, and IBM IDz.
- Strong project management and stakeholder management capabilities.
