Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines and data integration solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL, Python/PySpark, data warehousing, and cloud-based data platforms, with the ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL/ELT data pipelines.
• Build and optimize data ingestion processes from multiple structured and unstructured data sources.
• Develop scalable data solutions using Python, PySpark, and SQL.
• Transform and process large datasets while ensuring data quality, integrity, and performance.
• Create and maintain data models, data marts, and data warehouse solutions.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and data scientists to understand data requirements.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data workflows and pipelines.
• Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance.
• Support cloud-based data platforms and modern data architectures.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.

 

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Strong expertise in SQL and complex query development.
• Hands-on experience with Python and PySpark.
• Experience building and maintaining large-scale data pipelines.
• Strong understanding of Data Warehousing Concepts and Dimensional Modeling.
• Experience with ETL/ELT frameworks and data integration tools.
• Knowledge of data processing frameworks such as Spark.
• Experience working with large datasets and performance optimization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, or similar modern data platforms.
• Knowledge of orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Experience in Financial Services, Banking, Insurance, or Healthcare domains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and contribute as an individual contributor.
