Location: New Jersey (Hybrid/Onsite)
Duration: Long-Term Contract

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with strong expertise in building scalable data pipelines, data warehousing, and cloud-based data solutions within the Insurance domain. The ideal candidate will have experience working with policy, claims, underwriting, billing, and customer data while supporting enterprise analytics, reporting, and regulatory compliance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

 

Data Engineering & Development

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines.
• Build and optimize data ingestion frameworks for structured and unstructured data.
• Develop data integration solutions using modern cloud and big data technologies.
• Create and maintain data models, data marts, and enterprise data warehouse solutions.
• Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance standards are met.

Insurance Domain Responsibilities

• Work with Insurance business teams to understand requirements related to:
• Policy Administration
• Claims Processing
• Underwriting
• Billing & Payments
• Customer & Agent Data
• Regulatory Reporting
• Support enterprise reporting and analytics initiatives across Insurance operations.
• Analyze insurance datasets and transform business requirements into technical solutions.

 

Data Pipeline & Analytics

• Develop batch and real-time data processing solutions.
• Implement data validation, reconciliation, and monitoring processes.
• Optimize performance of large-scale datasets and data workflows.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Architects.

Cloud & Modern Data Platforms

• Build cloud-native data solutions.
• Support migration from legacy data platforms to modern cloud environments.
• Implement CI/CD practices for data engineering solutions.

 

Required Skills

Data Engineering

• 8+ years of Data Engineering experience.
• Strong SQL development and query optimization.
• Experience with ETL/ELT development.
• Data modeling and data warehousing expertise.
• Experience handling large-scale enterprise datasets.

• PySpark
• SQL
• Shell Scripting

Databases

• SQL Server
• Oracle
• PostgreSQL
• Snowflake
• DB2 (Preferred)
