Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in the Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain. The ideal candidate will have expertise in requirements gathering, business process analysis, stakeholder management, and translating business needs into actionable user stories. Experience with core insurance platforms such as Guidewire or Duck Creek is highly preferred.
The successful candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders, Product Owners, development teams, and QA teams to deliver high-quality solutions supporting policy administration, claims processing, and billing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct requirements elicitation through interviews, workshops, document analysis, and stakeholder meetings.
- Gather, analyze, validate, and document business and functional requirements.
- Translate business requirements into detailed user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- Maintain comprehensive business and functional documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Analyze and document current-state (As-Is) and future-state (To-Be) business processes.
- Support initiatives involving policy lifecycle management, claims adjudication, and billing operations.
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, Product Owners, development teams, and QA teams.
- Facilitate communication to ensure business objectives are accurately translated into technical solutions.
- Collaborate with QA teams to develop test strategies, test scenarios, and test cases.
- Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
- Validate delivered solutions against business requirements and regulatory standards.
- Assist in system integration efforts involving core insurance administration platforms.
- Support implementation and enhancement of Guidewire, Duck Creek, or other proprietary insurance systems.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend best practices to optimize business operations.
Required Qualifications
- 8–10 years of Business Analysis experience.
- Strong experience within the Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance industry.
- Proven expertise in requirements gathering and business process analysis.
- Experience creating detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional documentation.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and Scrum practices.
- Experience facilitating stakeholder interviews, workshops, and requirement sessions.
- Hands-on experience with process mapping and workflow documentation.
- Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional business and technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Guidewire, Duck Creek, or other core insurance administration systems.
- Knowledge of policy administration, claims processing, and billing operations.
- Experience supporting enterprise system integration projects.
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements within the insurance industry.
- Experience working in large-scale Agile environments.
