Location: Burlington, MA


Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Vulnerability Management Analyst to join our Cybersecurity team in Burlington, MA. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with vulnerability assessment, patch management, remediation coordination, and security compliance across Windows and Linux environments.

This role requires expertise in vulnerability scanning tools such as Qualys, Tenable, Nessus, or Rapid7, along with experience working with enterprise patch management solutions including Microsoft SCCM, Intune, Azure Update Manager, and ServiceNow. The successful candidate will collaborate with infrastructure, networking, and application teams to identify, prioritize, remediate, and validate security vulnerabilities while supporting organizational security and compliance initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

Vulnerability Assessment & Risk Management

  • Perform enterprise-wide vulnerability scans using industry-leading tools such as Qualys, Tenable, Nessus, or Rapid7.
  • Analyze scan results and prioritize vulnerabilities based on severity, business impact, and risk exposure.
  • Review and classify vulnerabilities as Critical, High, Medium, or Low risk.
  • Validate remediation efforts through rescanning and verification activities.
  • Maintain vulnerability lifecycle management from identification through remediation and closure.

Patch Management & Remediation

  • Coordinate vulnerability remediation efforts with system administrators, infrastructure, networking, and application support teams.
  • Assist with deployment of security patches and operating system updates.
  • Validate successful installation of patches across Windows and Linux servers.
  • Utilize Azure Update Manager, Microsoft SCCM, and Microsoft Intune to manage enterprise patch deployments.
  • Ensure timely remediation in accordance with organizational security policies and SLAs.

Security Operations & Compliance

  • Monitor security advisories, CVEs, vendor bulletins, and emerging cybersecurity threats.
  • Support vulnerability management compliance initiatives and audit activities.
  • Generate vulnerability assessment reports, remediation dashboards, and executive-level metrics.
  • Maintain accurate remediation tracking and documentation within ServiceNow or other ticketing systems.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational cybersecurity standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.

Infrastructure & Security Collaboration

  • Partner with Windows and Linux administrators to resolve security findings.
  • Collaborate with network engineers and application teams during remediation activities.
  • Support security monitoring initiatives alongside SIEM and endpoint security platforms.
  • Participate in continuous improvement of vulnerability management processes and procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • 5–10+ years of experience in:
    • Cybersecurity
    • Vulnerability Management
    • System Administration
    • IT Security Operations
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and vulnerability management lifecycle.
  • Experience with vulnerability scanning tools including:
    • Qualys
    • Tenable
    • Nessus
    • Rapid7
  • Experience managing Windows Server and Linux environments.
  • Knowledge of patch management processes and security best practices.
  • Experience with enterprise patch deployment tools.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with:
    • Microsoft SCCM
    • Microsoft Intune
    • Azure Update Manager
    • Lansweeper
    • ServiceNow
  • Familiarity with SIEM and Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) solutions.
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and incident/change management.
  • Experience supporting security compliance audits.
  • Relevant certifications are highly preferred:
    • CompTIA Security+
    • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
    • Microsoft SC-900
    • Other cybersecurity certifications
